ARBURG GESTICA lite machine control

Elegant, robust machine control with clear, intuitive graphics.

ARBURG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of injection molding machines, delivering solutions for a broad range of industrial, technical, and consumer-related applications.

The “GESTICA lite” industrial panel is a key element of the latest “ALLROUNDER TREND” machine line. Designed for efficiency and ease of use, it supports injection molding operations in the standard segment. With ALLROUNDER TREND, ARBURG delivers a cost-effective, user-friendly solution for changing production requirements. The “GESTICA lite” will also be incorporated into other machine models in the future.

Within the collaborative development process, Rojahn Design assumed the leading responsibility for industrial and mechanical design. Development followed an iterative, closely coordinated approach, in which multiple design and construction alternatives were explored, discussed, and progressively refined into a solution ready for series production. In addition to the overall design and construction concept, the scope of work included, among other things, manufacturing data and drawings for the housing, along with the creation of graphic specifications for the front operating foil.

Alongside ergonomic and aesthetic requirements, a strong focus was placed on cost-efficient, high-volume manufacturing.

The graphical interface design is clearly structured to enable intuitive operation.

Die-cast aluminum proved to be the most economical and technically suitable solution for the housing. The geometry was purposefully developed for this process, ensuring efficient demolding, clearly defined component structures, and reliable assembly of all components.

Through the design solution, the industrial panel maintains a slim, lightweight appearance despite increased internal installation space.

In close cooperation with ARBURG, every aspect of the control unit was systematically analyzed and optimized—from usage and design to industrial production. The result is a highly competitive machine control system that combines intuitive usability, robust industrial design, and economic efficiency—engineered to meet the demands of modern, high-volume manufacturing.
